Urban Icing is Chicago’s newest cake shop and event space! From unique 3D cakes and celebration cakes to wedding cakes and custom baked confections we want to make sure that you get the cake of your dreams!

3D Custom Cakes
Life's celebrations are measured in cake and Urban Icing's creations are the perfect addition to any party! From instruments and animals to characters and shoes, our team will transform your ideas into a delicious 3D cake!
Baked Confections
In addition to our show stopping cakes, we have a variety of beautiful sweet bites. Cupcakes, cake-pops, custom cookies and pies to just name a few. All of our confections are completely customizable and can be designed to match your decor or theme.
Private Events
From casual and fun to elegant and festive, Urban Icing has an intimate and modern event space ideal for showers, cocktail receptions, birthday parties and more. Our event specialist will work with you to make sure your event is one to remember!

Our team of talented cake artists work hard to make cakes look like works of art. Whether they’re designing a specialty birthday cake shaped like a pirate ship or creating a one of a kind wedding cake, our artists take pride in their work and want to ensure that you, the client, are overjoyed!
We don’t just do cakes at Urban Icing. If you’re looking for delicious cookies, unique cake pops, or seasonal cupcakes, we’ve got you covered. Just like our cakes, all of our sweets are customizable, so we can put logos, photos, emblems, or just about anything you can dream up on our cookies, cake-pops and cupcakes.
In addition to baking up some of Chicago’s tastiest sweets and impressive cakes, our intimate event space is the perfect place to host a baby or wedding shower, bachelor / bachelorette party, rehearsal dinner, birthday party, or cozy cocktail party. Our event specialist will work with you to make your event vision a reality in our neutral, urban space.
If you’re looking to decorate cookies or cakes, reserve your spot in one of our monthly decorating workshops or come by on your own for a mini decorating class during the week. Whichever you decide, you’ll feel right at home in our intimate space, except well handle the clean up!
